This is another super easy dessert to prepare ahead of time. Just prepare the filling until you are ready to serve. There is no cooking or baking – how easy is this to provide a sweet little treat like pecan pie. I have a total of (now 10) fillings for these scrumptious tarts. Baklava Tart Filling
- 2 cups walnuts, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- mini shortbread shells or phyllo tart shells (the recipe makes about 45) if you want to make homemade see Tart Shell Doughs
Combine the first six ingredients and refrigerate where it will thicken. Spoon about 2 tsp. into each tart shell when ready to serve.
