Strawberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie

This idea came from Weight Watcher’s but I could not find Raspberry Cheesecake Sundaes as the recipe suggested.  So, I bought Skinny Cow Strawberry Cheesecake low fat ice cream (available at 2 stores)  instead and made it a strawberry smoothie.  Now, this I will have for dessert and not in the morning.  A special treat… See … Continue reading

Weight Watcher’s Shrimp Creole

Mardi Gras is just around the corner and this new Cajun dish sounded good to me and it was  a “thumbs up” for this new recipe.   It is a Weight Watcher’s recipe worth 8 points for 1/2 cup of rice and 2 cups of the shrimp mixture. Picture taken 1-25-19

Pork Medallions in Parchment Paper for Valentines Day

How about cooking these pork medallions for Valentines Day in heart-shaped parchment paper?  This method of cooking keeps this dish so moist and tender and is a Weight Watcher’s recipe worth 5 points per serving.

Weight Watcher’s Apple-Cinnamon Wontons

Well, it is time for another Weight Watcher’s dessert.  Yes, I have a bunch of not-so-good-for- you recipes but I am trying to venture more into healthier desserts which Gene would never agree to.  So, instead of a piece of  Gene’s Favorite Apple Pie try these tasty little treats.   You get 4 wontons, with a dusting of … Continue reading

French Toast Five Ways

Happy New Years!  How is this for a great start to the New Year or for any morning for breakfast?  In my home this is a preferred meal of the day and oh so good with fresh bread from your bread machine (see my recipe Maple Buttermilk Bread in the Mini Zo) and delicious Michigan maple syrup.  … Continue reading

Weight Watcher’s Spicy Orange Chicken

This is a great stir-fry recipe where as always you can use any vegetables you want and it is a Weight Watcher’s dish.  The recipe called for using broccoli and carrots but I used snow peas, onions,  celery, carrots and red pepper.  I prefer to cook a lot of vegetables versus just a few.

Weight Watcher’s Mini Pumpkin Cheesecakes

These cheesecakes are a nice small dessert and only 3 points per cheesecake.  The problem is I could eat all 4 and 12 points for a dessert is a big no-no!  I have a bigggg weakness for cheesecake even if it is a Weight Watcher’s recipe.

Weight Watcher’s Broccoli and Cheese Frittata

This frittata is quite good and cheesy  and the recipe came with some coupons from my local Kroger store.  There are a number of food items that Weight Watcher’s sponsors and Green Giant Broccoli and Cheese is one of them.  See also Weight Watcher’s Western Omelet.
