Appetizer Roll-Ups Nine Ways

I have a few recipes to share of a very simple appetizer and something you can get ready the night before.  Two are using ham slices, one uses beef or corned beef and six use tortillas.  Five of the roll-ups have no meat.  These recipes are just some guidelines as you can be very creative with the … Continue reading

Weight Watcher’s Sauerbraten in the Slow Cooker

This is a good Weight Watcher’s recipe that I always make sometime during the fall/winter season.    There are 6 points per 3 oz. of meat and 1/2 cup gravy using the old point system.   Another good recipe that my father made for his family is Dad’s Sauerbraten.

Dad’s Sauerbraten

This was one of my Dad’s specialties – we were never disappointed when he made this for his family.  An excellent German meal – this was my Dad’s recipe! He always served it with red cabbage in a jar (see my recipe Weight Watcher’s Red Cabbage Two Ways); potato pancakes from a box (see my recipe … Continue reading

Gene’s Grilled Steak

Dad’s Pepper Steak

Dad did not do a lot of cooking but he did have a couple of special dishes he enjoyed making for us. This is delicious and the entire family loves it except for the occasional vegetarian and she picks out the meat! I like to use my Wusthof classic super slicer with the gently scalloped … Continue reading

Meatloaf with Applesauce

Another comfort food that everyone has a recipe for.  Mine is made with my homemade applesauce (a request from my husband who is not a ketchup fan).  This meatloaf makes a delicious sandwich.

Beef Kebobs on the Grill

When the weather is warm and it is too hot to heat up your kitchen, cooking on the grill offers a lot of choices for some quick and easy dishes. Serves 4-6

Spicy Orange Beef with Vegetables

This is a Weight Watcher’s recipe which I have altered a little but not where the points value will change.  The orange flavor adds a special touch to this stir-fry dish.  I like to serve it with Weight Watcher’s Fried Rice.
