This is a very easy appetizer where Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls do most of the work along with turkey pepperoni (can use regular of course) and finely grated mozarella cheese. I think it needs more pepperoni, cheese and a few herbs like basil and/or oregano so there won’t be such a doughy taste – just personal! It’s a cute idea and perfect to carry out your holiday theme.

Bob’s Red Mill has a gluten-free version recipe. You could also make pigs in blanket or just garlic bread…
Pizza Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Bread
- 2-3 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls
- Mozarella cheese, finely grated (be generous)
- small slices of pepperoni (I would use two slices)
- herbs such as basil or oregano
- unsalted melted butter (to brush on rolls after baking)
- parsley, minced (to garnish)
- pizza sauce to dip (I didn’t care for Rao’s’ even though I like their marinara sauce) See Pizza Sauce Three Ways – Includes California Pizza and Detroit Style Pizza Sauces
Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper. Measure what size you want your finished tree to be (allow a star bowl for the top of tree). Grate your cheese and melt the butter.
Undo one roll of dough at a time and cut each triangle in half with a pair of scissors. Place cheese on shortest edge of triangle, followed by a pepperoni (I would use two as my turkey pepperoni was very thin) then some more cheese and herbs of your choice (optional). Roll each one up to the opposite point and place on its side on parchment paper. You can see the design I used, just do what you want in terms of size. Kind of quish them together so they touch each other.
Place in a 350 degree oven for 20-24 minutes (23 for me). Remove and brush with melted butter and garnish with parsley, minced. Transfer to platter and carefully lift off of the parchment paper onto the board. Serve with your favorite pizza sauce in a star cup.

This is such a great idea! So festive and pretty, and, no doubt, very tasty.
Love your traveling charcuterie board!:)
Very easy to make too! I think garlic bread with some cheese would be a good choice as well. Thanks – I do like my traveling charcuterie board besides being perfect for this appetizer 0:)
Garlic bread version sounds very tempting! 🙂
A traveling charcuterie board!!! Well I’ll be! What a great idea. Great gift idea, too. Love your tree!
Charcuterie boards are a favorite way to entertain and I love being able to bring my own board (goodies separate) to any family/friend gathering 🙂 This recipe is almost too simple to post but sometimes these are the best!
A traveling charcuterie board…that has to be a great gift for the cook who has everything. Your pull apart bread has to be a big hit at a party,
I certainly don’t have everything as space will not allow but I do love this board. It has a leather handle and safety clasp – well made and very nice wood 🙂 People do like this kind of appetizer and it certainly didn’t last long!
i love that fold-up board. how snazzy! Merry christmas/festive season to you.
Yes, I do too Sherry! A limited amount was made but I think it would be a hit with many who enjoy making up charcuterie boards. Happy holidays to you – no snow this Christmas which is very unusual for Michigan this time of the year 🙂
