This is a really nice dressing for any time of the year. I use this dressing over mixed greens or spinach and add different toppings such as dried cherries, goat cheese and candied pecans. Almost a meal in itself!
Maple-Cider-Orange Dressing
- 3 tbsp. maple syrup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp. fresh orange juice
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp. mild honey
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- optional garnishes: sliced red onions, dried cherries, sliced apples, goat cheese or home made sugared pecans
Combine the maple syrup, vinegar, orange juice, mustard, honey and salt and pepper to taste. Slowly drizzle in the oil; whisking well.

I’m going to try this! Thanks, Judy!😃😘
It’s a simple but very tasty dressing Mary 🙂
I’ll bookmark it, Judy!
I love oranges. 🍃🍊
And maple syrup, cider vinegar, Dijon and all the goodies on top – oh and the lettuce too 🙂
Great combination. Love these flavors together.
Thanks Ronit – I do too. I’ve been making more home made dressings and trying to stay away from the “bottled varieties”.
Same here. Commercial ones are full of additives and don’t even taste good! 🙂
Interesting combination of flavors! Sounds like a great dressing.
Thanks Jeff – interesting often means delicious.
Judi, I love the sound of your Maple-Cider-Orange Dressing and with goats cheese. I’m thinking I’ll be making a pear on arugula salad and top it with this dressing and crumble on some goat cheese with a sprinkle of toasted pine nuts.
Thanks Ron – the dressing is perfect with so many salads and toppings of your choice. I like what you’ve chosen.
