Maple-Cider-Orange Dressing

This is a really nice dressing for any time of the year. I use this dressing over mixed greens or spinach and add different toppings such as dried cherries, goat cheese and candied pecans.  Almost a meal in itself!

Maple-Cider-Orange Dressing

  • 3 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp. mild honey
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • optional garnishes: sliced red onions, dried cherries, sliced apples, goat cheese or home made sugared pecans

Combine the maple syrup, vinegar, orange juice, mustard, honey and salt and pepper to taste.  Slowly drizzle in the oil; whisking well.

  1. Judi, I love the sound of your Maple-Cider-Orange Dressing and with goats cheese. I’m thinking I’ll be making a pear on arugula salad and top it with this dressing and crumble on some goat cheese with a sprinkle of toasted pine nuts.
