Fruit in some form is frequently a part of every meal I serve, especially when entertaining. I might just have a bowl of fresh fruit such as apples, grapes or oranges; serve fruit as a salad over greens or have something a little fancier such as these summer berries topped with a yogurt seasoned with lemon curd and limoncello. A very light dessert and a perfect finish to any meal…

Ina's Fruit Salad with Limoncello, Adapted
- 7 oz. Greek yogurt (I used Chobani Vanilla Greek Yogurt}
- 1/3 cup lemon curd (you can make your own or buy it)
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup raspberries (do not marinate as they tend to fall apart; add right before you top the berries with yogurt)
- 1 cup blueberries
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. Limoncello liqueur
- 1 banana, sliced (oops! I forgot to add)
- mint sprigs for garnish
Combine the first 4 ingredients and set aside. Toss the strawberries, blueberries, sugar and limoncello and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Gently add the banana slices and raspberries.
Serve the fruit on small plates or bowls with a dollop of lemon yogurt on top. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.

Thanks so much 🙂

Thanks very much – my brother lives on the big Island of Hawaii and your blog’s name reminded me of that. Aloha!
I love such fresh fruit desserts. I think I would skip the banana as well. It doesn’t keep well when sliced beforehand.
Thanks Ronit – if I would have remembered to add the banana slices I would have added them at the last minute, like the raspberries. Then the dollop of lemon yogurt and serve 🙂
I love this idea! Way more fun than just adding lemon zest or just limoncello to the berries.
Thank you – Limoncello is such a nice, lemony liqueur and goes well with so many different fruits. The yogurt was a nice finishing touch…
It’s very strong to me, but in the yogurt i imagine the flavored was tempered a bit.
Actually, the Limoncello was added directly to the fruit with a little sugar, but combining with the yogurt mixture paired nicely. This brand of Limoncello I used is the best you can drink (which I enjoy) and is an authentic liqueur from Sorrento. Cantoro’s Italian Market carries 5 different brands and this is the best according to everyone I spoke to.
Oh i thought it was only in the yogurt!
Healthy and delicious fruit salad. I would love to have just this for lunch if someone fixed it up for me every day😊😬
Thanks Ana – I have been enjoying this light salad/dessert for a few days now 🙂
I’d love this dish! I don’t think I’d add the banana either! We’ve made our own Limoncello and it’s a nice little sweet after a meal when you’re too full for anything heavier.
Thanks Julie – fresh fruit is always good to have after any meal. The Limoncello makes it a little special!
