Sometimes I find a seasoning mixture I like a lot and use often. Since the ingredients are on an index card I thought it would be a good idea to post it on my blog so as not to lose it. I paired it with another seasoning mixture I like on grilled chicken breasts and had a wonderful dinner.

The following is Ronit’s recipe for her roasted vegetables except I cut back the Hawaiian sea salt to 1 tsp. and did not add any kosher salt. I also vary the vegetables depending on what I have on hand.
Ronit's Seasoning Mixture for Roasted Vegetables
Try to make the vegetables you choose the same size so they will roast equally.
- carrots, cut in chunks
- onions, cut in wedges
- mini red potatoes
Combine the following seasonings and add to the veggies:
- 2 tsp. Hawaiian sea salt (I only used 1 tsp.)
- 1 tsp. kosher salt (I did not add)
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground four peppers mix (or just use regular pepper)
- 1/4 tsp. hot paprika
- 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 3 tbsp. EVOO
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
I like to spray foil with a non-stick cooking spray first on a sheet pan. Layer the veggies and roast for 1 hour or until done to your taste.

Thank you Judi, for this lovely post, and link to my blog!
I use this seasoning mix often, as it’s so quick to make, and enhances the veggies flavors. I’m glad you’ve reduced the salt level to your liking. I actually should do the same, as it’s much healthier, but, unfortunately, I do like saltier foods… I’ll work on it! 🙂
I love your seasoning mix and that’s why I decided to give it a permanent post. I have always been a little salt sensitive and felt the rest of the ingredients flavored the veggies nicely. Thanks for introducing me to this – I should try the fish 🙂
The veggies worked well with the fish, but your pairing them with chicken looks delicious as well. 🙂
this sounds like a tasty mixture! I am a bit of a salt addict so would probably use the extra teaspoon 🙂 cheers sherry https://sherryspickings.blogspot.com/
Thanks Sherry – I love this mix and use it all the time. Perfect to go with fish and chicken. I think my Weight Watcher’s days turned me off on salt and that other ingredients and herbs/spices were enough 🙂
