Beach-Themed Candy Board

Are you dreaming about a beach somewhere warm? We are in the throes of our first winter storm; as a matter of fact most of the country is experiencing Mother Nature at her worst! Not a lot of snow but strong winds and cold temperatures here in Michigan. I stay home during this kind of weather, keep warm and safe and just hope my power stays on.

Sanibel Island, Florida was a favorite vacation spot for Gene and me. This island was in my thoughts after Hurricane Ian hit that area cutting off the causeway to Sanibel back in September, 2022. Then I saw this post on Pinterest by Meg Quinn and knew I had to make it. She created this Beachside Bite for Beach Ready Spirit Week and I thought it was just a cute idea and brought back memories of good times, shelling and a beautiful place for a vacation. I saved this post for the first winter storm – of course it had to be over the 2022 Christmas holiday!

My sister lives in Florida and it is very cold there too – the beach will be viewed/enjoyed from inside. So, if you need a pick-me-up make this charcuterie candy board and transport yourself to a warm, sandy beach somewhere!

I need to check with my brother who lives on the Big Island of Hawaii. I know it can be cool in the higher levels where he lives but they deal mostly with volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and vog.

A fun charcuterie board kids would enjoy making…

    • Thanks Teagan – this was fun to make and would be a great activity for kids (like me – ha!ha!) Happy Holidays and I look forward to reading more about the characters you have shared with us – you have such talent 🙂

    • Thanks Linda – a fun board to make for a beach party, pool party, fish fry or whatever occasion. The kids would enjoy looking for different “sea creatures” and putting it together – I know I did 🙂
