This is another delicious way to make cauliflower which I served over a bed of Gandy Dancer’s Rice Pilaf and called it dinner. I am trying to make healthier, meatless and not so many “heavy” meals during the holidays. This recipe comes from https://healthyfitnessmeals.com/sweet-and-spicy-baked-cauliflower/ and I topped off leftovers with spicy chili crisp.

Sweet and Spicy Roasted Cauliflower
Recipe by healthyfitnessmeals slightly adapted
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
- cooking oil spray
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
- lots of sliced green onions
- toasted (optional) sesame seeds
- spicy chili crisp to garnish (optional)
Sauce:
- 1/4 cup clover honey (add to taste)
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. Sriracha
- 1 tbsp. hoisin sauce (can substitute with more soy sauce)
- 1 tsp. cornstarch, optional (tastes great without thickening)
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees; line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spray the cauliflower florets with olive oil and toss with garlic powder and black pepper.
Roast for 15-30 minutes; I always cook for 30 minutes when they are not being cooked any more in a recipe.
Combine the sauce ingredients in a small sauce pan and cook until it thickens. Toss the sauce with the cauliflower, top with green onion slices, toasted sesame seeds and chili crisp. Serve over rice if desired.

This is a great tasty way to elevate cauliflower! 🙂
Cauliflower is such a versatile veggie and takes well to so many different flavors 🙂
I love this recipe! My favorite dish when I traveled in China was cauliflower stir fried with all sorts of Asian spices and sauces and served over rice. This recipe sounds very similar. In addition to being delicious, cauliflower makes a hearty meal – and a healthy one!
I knew you would like this post as we both love cauliflower. Add the seasonings to your taste – it makes a great meatless meal and healthy too 🙂

Me too Sherry – I buy a head of cauliflower every week and use it some way, even just to munch on 🙂
