Lavender Balsamic Vinaigrette with Lavender Honey

This might be the best balsamic vinaigrette I have ever made, or tasted for that matter. I love all things lavender not only in baking/cooking but it is one of my favorite flowers. They are long-lasting, edible with an added bonus of smelling so good. The flower buds also dry extremely well and they keep their flavor (in a covered dark container) for a long time – excellent for baking and cooking. Search “lavender” for all my recipes.

Lavender Balsamic Vinaigrette with Lavender Honey

  • 1/4 cup Lavender balsamic vinegar
  • 1 scallion, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. Dijon
  • 1 tsp. Lavender honey
  • kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • salad greens, veggies of your choice, cheese, croutons, candied nuts

Combine all of the ingredients except the salad greens and veggies; mix well. Drizzle over a salad of your choice and add your toppings.

    • Thanks – both the vinegar and the honey are mildly flavored with lavender – not overpowering at all. I’m sure they both added some great flavor – that’s why the vinaigrette tasted so good.

  2. I’ve never seen lavender balsamic, and I’ve been to those olive oil and vinegar stores many times! I’d have to smell it to see if I could handle it. I’m not too big on botanicals. Like, I could never eat lavender ice cream. But I do really love your salad!
