This might be the best balsamic vinaigrette I have ever made, or tasted for that matter. I love all things lavender not only in baking/cooking but it is one of my favorite flowers. They are long-lasting, edible with an added bonus of smelling so good. The flower buds also dry extremely well and they keep their flavor (in a covered dark container) for a long time – excellent for baking and cooking. Search “lavender” for all my recipes.

This must have amazing aroma! Though I’ve tried lavender honey, I can’t recall seeing lavender balsamic vinegar so far. I’ll definitely be looking for it now. 🙂
Thanks – both the vinegar and the honey are mildly flavored with lavender – not overpowering at all. I’m sure they both added some great flavor – that’s why the vinaigrette tasted so good.
i love lavender in all its forms! and i love lavender lollies too. this sounds amazing judi! i’ve not seen it as a vinegar but i bet i can get it online. take care

Yay – we’re lavender lover buddies 🙂 I’m lucky enough to have a Fustini’s store nearby and they also offer all their products online. If I see lavender anything I buy it!
Lavender. Aromatic and Soothing. 🍃💜
Can’t wait for summer to grow it again – I always get a good supply of buds to dry that lasts me a long time 🙂
You are sooo talented. I want to be like you when I grow up. 🤣
I’ve never seen lavender balsamic, and I’ve been to those olive oil and vinegar stores many times! I’d have to smell it to see if I could handle it. I’m not too big on botanicals. Like, I could never eat lavender ice cream. But I do really love your salad!
The vinegar and honey are mildly scented – heck I could make my own which I might do this summer. All you need is the vinegar and honey and then infuse it with lavender buds to taste! Lavender anything is a favorite…
I have enjoyed lavender honey baked onto feta. It was a gift. Good stuff.
