There are 3 recipes that I serve to family and friends. The first 2 I use a lot as an appetizer/snack. The third one I have not made yet and the fourth makes your tomato soup extra special with the addition of the seasoned crackers and mozarella cheese.
Oyster Crackers Hidden Valley Ranch
- 1 (1 oz.) pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch Style Dressing
- 1 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 cup or more vegetable oil
- 22 oz. oyster crackers
Place crackers in a paper bag or bowl. Add the dry ingredients; then the oil and shake well. Lay out on a large baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Allow to air dry, stirring occasionally. I changed the waxed paper once to help with the drying.

Oyster Crackers Hidden Valley Buttermilk
Hidden Valley Buttermilk Dressing:
- 1 (1 oz.) Hidden Valley Buttermilk Dressing
- 1 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 tsp. dill
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 22 oz. crackers
Combine all of the ingredients and dry as above.

Taco Oyster Crackers
- 1 envelope taco seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 30 oz. oyster crackers
Combine all of the ingredients as in the first recipe and dry as above.

Oyster Crackers for Tomato Soup
- 3 cups oyster crackers
- 2 tbsp. canola oil
- 1 tbsp. ranch salad dressing mix
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. dill
- mozzarella cheese, shredded
Combine the first 5 ingredients and toss to coat; allow to dry. Make your favorite tomato soup, top with the oyster crackers and sprinkle with mozzarella.
