I love all kinds of dips with fruit, vegetables, chips, even bread sticks. My blog is full of different versions. Crunchy, salty chips are a weakness and I don’t buy them often. Every once in awhile I get that craving and just have to get a bag – a small bag! A favorite are these Sensible Portions Garden Veggie Chips with 30% less fat. No danger of double dipping either as they are small chips, just perfect for one scoop!
This dip uses Tzatziki with a Ranch twist. The main seasoning is a 1 oz. packet of dry ranch dressing. You can certainly make your own as there are plenty of recipes on the internet. Then any Tzatziki needs Greek yogurt, grated English cucumber and dill.
This is an adaptation of Gail’s recipe which is perfect with any dipper you want. I made it twice and it is very good with fresh veggies too – healthier than the chips for sure. https://snapshotsincursive.com/2020/11/27/tzatziki-ranch-chip-dip/
Tzatziki Dip with a Ranch Twist and Veggie Chips
- 1 English cucumber (I peeled it but it was suggested to leave it on), finely grated and squeezed dry
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (I used low-fat Hellman’s)
- 1 (1 oz.) envelope ranch dry seasoning mix – there are about 8 tsp. (add to taste)
- 1-1/2 cups Greek yogurt (I used 2% plain Fage)
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream – I didn’t have light cream
- 1 tsp. sumac – I added
- Fresh dill for garnish and/or mix some in the dip mixture
- chips of your choice – I used Garden Veggie Chips – 30 percent less fat
Combine all the ingredients (except the chips) and stir well. Chill until ready to serve.
Note: I did not add 1 tsp. kosher salt or drizzle 2 tbsp. olive oil on top

You get a “high five” for turning this dip into a healthy option. 🥒🥕🥦
Thanks Gail – it’s a good recipe with the Ranch dressing mix and I prefer it over my long standing dip I’ve made for many years. I guess the heavy cream (instead of light cream) is healthy 🙂
Of course! 😜
Interesting take on Tzatziki. 🙂
Gail recently made this dip and being a fan of Ranch dressing I decided to try it. For me it was perfect as a dip with chips but not with something such as lamb. I like Tzatziki with the cucumber, Greek yogurt and dill (feels a little healthier). I was craving something salty and this gave me an excuse to buy a bag of chips LOL!
lol as long as it’s healthy! 😉 🙂
i love tzatziki! i’m not fond of cuke skin either so i usually peel it off.
happy festive season

Me too Sherry. Apparently, English cuke skin is softer than a regular cuke but I still didn’t add it.
Happy Holidays to you Sherry 🙂
Sounds yummy. I love to have chips😋😋. Thanks for the recipe❤️.
Thanks – I prefer the dip with chips versus veggies or bread… 🙂
