This is an excellent way to start off your morning, along with some bacon, fresh fruit, a hot cup of coffee and always some good maple syrup.
Sour Cream Waffles
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
Combine eggs, sour cream, butter (cooled) and buttermilk; beat until smooth. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Slowly add dry ingredients to liquid mixture; stir until well blended. Batter will be slightly lumpy. Bake as directed. See my post Kitchen Gadgets – Waffle Irons.

Thanks so much for the waffles!!!! I ate the rest in like two bites. The big prices of crunchy bacon with the compliment of the sweet apple makes this fall trick a sure winner!!!!
