This is a fun cake to make with the kids. I did this with a couple of grandkids, Megan and Hunter, to give to their mom on Mother’s Day!
A recipe from Weight Watcher’s that my husband gave his approval to. It is not like Panera’s delicious soup but this recipe uses a lot more broccoli and has a lot less fat and salt.
I am not a big fan of oatmeal, but in a recent Weight Watcher’s meeting the leader talked about steel-cut oats. When I saw this slow cooker recipe that had the oats, bananas, and walnuts in it I gave it a try. I am hooked! Here is another recipe I have not tried yet but … Continue reading

This is a good recipe without the eggs. The idea of rice and some vegetables mixed in is how I prefer my fried rice. I have two rice cookers (see my post Kitchen Gadget – Rice Cookers and Kitchen Gadgets – Breville The Risotto Plus) and I make a bunch of rice and then freeze what I do … Continue reading
This is probably one of my oldest recipes (as I adapted it from my Grandmother). Dad said I should add some sugar but I never felt I needed it. There is nothing else in this recipe but apples and their skins; no sugar or spices. It does take a long time to cook, but worth every … Continue reading
