This is another “healthy breakfast cookie” I’ve added to my two other recipes. On my holiday table I Iike to have an assortment of goodies besides the usual cookies, fudge, petit fours, mini cakes or tarts and such. These almonds (healthy fat) are coated in dark chocolate (that’s the good chocolate) and sprinkled with turbinado sugar and sea salt. The salt and sugar are optional but they sure … Continue reading

It cooks quick all in one pot and the sauce just loves the pasta shells, inside and out, and coats them beautifully. 1-inch rigatoni works … Continue reading

There is no dairy, lactose, saturated fat, cholesterol, gluten, … Continue reading

Almond Cookies

I often serve these cookies as a light dessert after a Chinese dinner.  Many years ago the teacher in one of my cooking classes made these.  The almond flavored cookie is a perfect dessert after a stir-fry dinner.  The cookies are very light with lots of almond flavoring.

Broccoli Slaw with Nuts and Dried Cherries

This is a very easy salad to put together.  I like the taste and the texture of the dried cherries, the toasted nuts and seeds and the crunch of the Ramen and rice noodles.  A little sweet and a little salty – perfect!
