I am not into specialty cocktails but I had a younger sister who was, occasionally. Let’s say she loved a bloody mary and then surprisingly a chocolate martini. She had one at a restaurant and raved about it. As she is no longer with us I thought I would make one (or two) in her memory. You are missed very much Marna <3 This is my first taste of this delicious martini – both versions are very good! Happy Valentine’s Day – Cheers!
The Baileys Martini comes from John Kanell who wrote the Preppy Kitchen. The raspberry recipe popped up on the Fustini website where I get regular recipes from them showcasing their numerous vinegars and oils (plus other things).

The Bailey’s martini needs a big glass (or make smaller drinks) and use a smaller one for the raspberry version…

This one is my favorite as I am partial to Bailey’s liqueur but it is potent so drink responsibly and sip slowly!

Chocolate Raspberry Martini – yum!
Chocolate Raspberry Martini
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 2 oz. Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
- 2 oz. vanilla vodka (I used Absolut Vanilla Vodka)
- 1 tbsp. Fustini’s Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar
- fresh raspberries to garnish
If you use a manual ice crusher, fill the top with ice cubes and that will equal 1 cup. Place the ice, liqueur, vodka and Fustini’s Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar into a martini shaker and vigorously shake for 10 seconds. Pour into a martini glass and garnish with fresh raspberries.

Chocolate Martini with Baileys and Chocolate
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 4 oz. Baileys Irish Cream
- 4 oz. Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
- 8 oz. vodka (I used Absolut Vanilla Vodka)
- 3 tbsp. chocolate syrup (I used Ghiradelli chocolate in a convenient squeeze bottle)
- garnish with shaved chocolate if desired
Place a ring of chocolate (big enough to fit the rim of your glass) on a plate. Dip the glass into it and then drizzle chocolate syrup inside the martini glass.
Combine Baileys, chocolate liqueur and vodka in a martini shaker filled with about a cup of ice. Shake until thoroughly chilled. I have a double walled stainless steel shaker and in 10 seconds it really makes the martinis cold!
Strain drink into prepared glasses. Garnish with shaved chocolate if desired or even add a couple of raspberries.
