Since Halloween is just a week away I thought I would post these “cute pumpkins” now just in case any of you would like to make them. They can be a little time consuming but so worth it. You know – chocolate and Oreos – you can’t get much better than that! They really get a reaction from the young and old alike 🙂
I have been making chocolate covered Oreos for many years now and I have molds for every holiday, gardening, paw prints, smiley faces and so on and this is the latest one for Halloween. Yes, kind of silly but you’re supposed to have fun on Halloween, right?
This idea comes from the bearfootbaker.com.
Funny Face Pumpkin Oreos
- plain circle mold
- large Oreo cookies
- orange, green and dark brown candy melts
- red candy nose
- candy eyes
- pecan pieces
Pour a thin layer of orange into each mold, then top with an Oreo and cover completely with more orange. I use a toothpick around the edges to get out the bubbles. Chill until firm – pop out of the mold and decorate as desired…

Other Halloween Molds: 2 different bats, 2 different pumpkin faces, candy corn, RIP and a cross on a coffin, ghost and pumpkin transfer.
I also have two mini molds – ghosts and candy corn but have not made them yet.

Your having way too much fun Judi. These are so cute. Hopefully you have plenty of young one to give these to.
I sure do Ron! I have a number of adults who love them. I once made about 60 and handed them out to the trick-or-treaters. Last time as it was too much work but I knew most of the kids – many moms wanted the recipe!
So cute Judi!
Thanks Lynne – a favorite holiday for me!
You’re so creative! 🙂
Thanks Ronit – I am just a kid at heart who even as a “senior” still enjoys this holiday 🙂
That’s a great attitude! 🙂
How adorable! I can see how much fun it would be to have the kiddos help decorate them.
Thanks Julie – these were easy to do and perfect for the kiddos! This time I thought my two sisters were going to help make these and “alien pretzels” but it didn’t work out.
Judy, these are adorable for Halloween! They would be fun for kids to make!👍😀
Thanks Mary – yes the kids could “decorate” the faces any way they want 🙂
So much fun!😀
Oh wow Judi, so creative! I love these and we have oreos in the house! 😀 I’d never even have dreamt to make something like this- what fun! 🙂 I guess I shouldn’t get distracted while I’m co-hosting though… thanks for linking up and bringing them to the Fiesta!
Thanks Laurena – these Oreo cookies are always a big hit with everyone. I also like to make the smaller ones using the mini Oreos as they are more bite-size and perfect for young children 🙂
That’s so cute, Judi! I really like the idea!
Thanks Angie – there are so many different ways you can decorate the round molds and this is just an example. Easy for the kids to do as well!
These are so adorable! Great idea Judi! 🙂
Thanks Linda – a tasty treat for Halloween 🙂
Adorable!!!
Thanks Ralu – I have fun making these. If I ever need a different dessert I just bring out the appropriate molds and decorate them. I have a huge assortment!
You do a great job too. The coating is so nice and smooth!
The cookies are so cute…they certainly bring a smile to your face.
Thanks Karen – you can make all kinds of faces with these plain Oreo molds 🙂
These are absolutely adorably, Judi! They definitely look like they are worth the time! Thank you for bringing your adorable Halloween creations to the party! Happy Fiesta Friday!
Thanks Antonia – there are a lot of possibilities with the plain molds as you can decorate them any way you want. It’s a fun project for the kids too 🙂 Happy Halloween!
Absolutely love those Funny Face Pumpkin Oreos, Judi. What a fabulous idea! They are super cute.
Thanks Sandhya – I’ve made so many of these Oreos over the years and everyone seems to enjoy them. Fun to look at and lots of fun to eat 🙂
They sure are fun Judi. I am sure kids of all ages must enjoy them. Happy Halloween!
They look too good to eat and super fun too! The fact that they hide Oreos underneath makes them even better! 🙂
Thanks Jo – the plain molds allow you to be creative. The kids enjoy decorating them 🙂
These are adorable! Wished I can seen these before Halloween. Thanks for sharing and pinned for next year!
Thanks Lily – people of all ages love these Oreos. When you use a plain mold you can decorate as you like – perfect project for kids.
How could something so simple, and with so few ingredients, turn out to be so cute! Love these little faces! (Unfortunately, I didn’t have any trick-or-treaters come to my house on Halloween)!
Thanks so much – they were easy to make and we had fun decorating them. I like “fun” Halloween recipes not scary. My new neighborhood didn’t have any trick-or-treaters either – missed seeing the kids in their costumes, especially the younger ones.
