Crudite Pouches for Super Bowl

Here is another fun project your children might enjoy doing (the older ones) and this too comes from the Food Network Magazine.  All you need is some parchment paper and some veggies. I’m sure other kinds of paper would work too – just experiment.

You cannot just have chicken wings, chili and goodies like that – you need some healthy and simple food too for the big game tomorrow. Serve with your favorite dip or search “dips” on my site for some good recipes.

  • parchment paper
  • ruler
  • pencil
  • various veggies cut in strips; I used celery, carrots, peppers and green onions

Cut up all of your veggies about 4 to 5-inches long in nice strips.

Cut out  8 or 10-inch squares of parchment paper; as many as you need for your party. I made 10-inch for demonstration purposes but I think I will go with the 8-inch tomorrow.

Place each parchment paper on a flat surface and fold into a triangle.

Then fold one point of the triangle to the other side where it is straight across. Do the same with the other side.

Fold down one layer of the top flap and crease it over the outermost panel. Then tuck it into that panel. Voila! You have a vessel to hold crudities for your guests.

If the cup is too floppy fold the sides over and tape them as below.

I am sharing this great idea with Angie at Fiesta Friday and her two co-hosts Julianna @ Foodie on Board and Lily @ Little Sweet Baker.
