This is one of my favorite vegetable combinations to make in the microwave. A great side dish when your oven and stove top are busy – like on Thanksgiving.
Broccoli, Cauliflower and Carrots in the Microwave
- broccoli florets
- cauliflower florets
- carrots, very thinly sliced
- a little water
- 1 to 2 tbsp. butter, softened
- lemon pepper seasoning to taste
- garlic powder to taste
Combine the vegetables and water in a microwave safe bowl and cover loosely with some saran wrap. Cook according to the manufacturers instructions. I just push my “vegetable” button and voila. Drain and season to taste with lemon pepper, garlic powder and a little butter. You can use any seasonings you would like.
