I actually have six slow cookers or crockpots ranging from 1-1/2 quart to six quart.  I have done a lot of entertaining over the years and these were frequently used when I needed an extra burner or space in my oven.

Any dish from dips to roasts can be cooked in them.  They are good to use all year long, in the summer when it is too hot to turn on your oven, or in the winter for a big pot of chili.  Every household should have at least one of these.  See the category Slow Cookers for recipes I have posted.
