Instead of bacon with your morning breakfast, try this dish instead. There is little preparation and only 30 minutes to cook. Serve it with a frittata, pancakes or waffles.
Baked Canadian Style Ham Two Ways
- 1 lb. Canadian bacon, sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 tsp. ground mustard
Place the ham in a baking dish. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over the ham slices. Cover and bake in a preheated 325°F oven for about 30 minutes or until heated through.

Baked Canadian Style Ham with Maple Syrup
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper (easy on this ingredient)
- Canadian bacon slices
- maple syrup
Brush the bacon with Michigan maple syrup. Combine the first 3 ingredients and sprinkle over the bacon. Bake in a 325°F oven for about 30 minutes or until heated through.
