Weight Watcher’s Corned Beef and Cabbage

This is a traditional dish I make every year for St. Patrick’s Day.   Having experimented with a number of recipes I finally settled with this recipe which everyone likes.  It is a Weight Watcher’s entree and another plus is that it is cooked in a slow cooker.

Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

This is a recipe to use should you try and make your own homemade sauerkraut.  Of course you can always use the bagged kind at the grocery store (I prefer this over canned), but homemade definitely adds some great flavor and a special touch to any meal.  This sounds like a Weight Watcher’s recipe but … Continue reading

Pork Chops and Gravy, Updated

Using a slow cooker is a great way to get moist pork chops and you get a gravy too even though it is a Weight Watcher’s recipe.

Glazed Carrots and Shallots

These vegetables cook slowly and get a nice caramelized flavor in a slow cooker.  I believe in getting as much done as possible which gives you more free time the closer it gets to serving your meal.

Weight Watcher’s Sauerbraten in the Slow Cooker

This is a good Weight Watcher’s recipe that I always make sometime during the fall/winter season.    There are 6 points per 3 oz. of meat and 1/2 cup gravy using the old point system.   Another good recipe that my father made for his family is Dad’s Sauerbraten.

Reuben Dip Two Ways

I enjoy corned beef once in awhile and when I do not want to wait until St. Patrick’s Day I will fix this appetizer.  Just like a corned beef sandwich…

Sausage Stuffing in the Slow Cooker and Oven

This is a new stuffing recipe I just tried this year (2011) and it was given the ‘thumbs up’.  I like to try new stuffings but always serve the traditional one as well.  This one  I found  in a King Arthur Flour Baking Sheet and I have changed the recipe a little.   They are giving Weight Watcher’s points to many of their … Continue reading

Green Bean Casserole Two Ways

I grew up  with this side dish and it was always a must have item on our family’s Thanksgiving table.  I have included 2 recipes, one for the oven and one for the slow cooker.

Salsa Chicken Three Ways

This is a very simple and nutritional Weight Watcher’s dish. I also have a recipe for the slow cooker. A third recipe comes from allrecipes.com. Or try my Black Beans and serve the chicken over Gandy Dancer’s Rice Pilaf.
