No, it’s not too early to be thinking about Halloween, so how about some simple chocolate covered pretzel fingers. Very simple to make, not expensive and kid friendly! For more pretzel molds, check out Pretzel Rods Covered in Chocolate. Also, you will love my Halloween post from last year where I was featured on Fiesta Friday and that post has lots of Halloween ideas!
All you need is one or two molds by Wilton (only $2.00/each), candy melts in chocolate and different colors, paint brushes, pretzel bags and ribbon, and pretzels of course. Maybe you can paint the fingernails better than I can 🙂
For easier finger pretzels where you don’t need a mold.
- pretzel rods
- almond slivers
- green melting wafers
Melt the wafers and dip 2/3 of each pretzel. Place an almond sliver at the top of the pretzel and allow to dry.

Fabulous. I shared to FB.

You are the queen of these confections Judi! Fabulous.
I don’t know about “queen” as a youngster could make these. The kids (grandkids, nieces and nephews, friend’s kids) all enjoyed making things for Halloween 🙂
Adorable!
Thanks Julie – try these out on your neighbor kids!
I mentor a 5th grader and am always looking for ideas and yes my neighbor kiddos will love these!

I’d better hustle. Halloween will be here before you know it. Cute idea, Judi!
Thanks Angie – Finger cookies are coming next…
What a great idea!
Thanks 🙂
Lol cute think I’ll do this with my son
The kids have fun “painting” these fingers and they certainly don’t have to be perfect – mine are not 🙂
Your Pretzel fingers are creepily cool Judi! I love the idea. My daughter might want to try it. All kids love chocolate covered pretzels! I am also going to check your other Halloween ideas! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks – this is an easy mold as there is not a lot of detail; just the fingernail and the finger itself. There are a lot of molds available and I have quite a view. You’re welcome and I hope you have a chance to make them.
So fun!
I do enjoy making “fun” things for the holidays!
