Caramel Pumpkin Pie Thumbprint Cookies

I keep telling myself not to make any new recipes and post all of the drafts I have (which I have been trying to do)  but I could not resist these cookies by Joy The Baker.  Especially, since this is the holiday season and people want to see yummy desserts.  This delicious recipe appeared in … Continue reading

Pumpkin Pie Shots

I wanted to make a special drink/dessert for Thanksgiving and instead of a smoothie I came up with this yummy recipe.  Very simple to make ahead of time and   I know some adult family members who are going to enjoy it!  This recipe comes from Taste of Home. This is very late in the … Continue reading

Gelatin Ring with Raspberries and Pineapple

Here is my first attempt at a gelatin salad and those who like jello, including me, enjoyed it this past Thanksgiving.  It is a very colorful, light salad, perfect to go with all of those starches.  Gene is the only one I have known who did not like any kind of jello any time of the … Continue reading

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Well I am not making Thanksgiving dinner at my home this year but this was last years turkey and fixings – a small group but with all of the goodies and then some! I have decided to take the rest of the year off from posting recipes – there are almost 500 on my site now since I … Continue reading

Sweet and Spicy Pecans and Cashews

I have two recipes I make especially around the holidays.  Everyone enjoys snacking on these nuts.  The first recipe can be made any time and the second one  I like to serve on Thanksgiving.  It has pumpkin pie spice in it and I serve them in store-bought waffle cones which look like mini cornucopias.

Pumpkin Pie

A traditional dessert that most people serve on Thanksgiving.  In my family there are sometimes other types of pies but there is always a pumpkin pie.
