It is always great to have leftover pie dough as I never put it to waste and I make these tasty little morsels. Mom used to make these every time she made a pie so her four kids could have a special treat.

After a little experimenting I finally found a banana cream pie my husband liked. It requires a little work with a homemade pastry and filling but it is worth the effort. The surprise ingredient is Michigan Maple Syrup.
This is the best pecan pie I have ever made or tried for that matter. A thumbs up from my husband meant this pie recipe is a keeper. It may seem like a lot of work to some but it is definitely worth it. Bon appetit!

Lots of people like cheese on top of their apple pie, especially my husband. This is one way to add the cheese by making a cheddar cheese pie crust. I recently found another recipe from The Best of America’s Test Kitchen 2015.
Up here in the north I use Northern Spy, preferably, or Cortland apples for this pie. Along with my flaky pie crust there is nothing better for a dessert.
