Dark Chocolate Almond Clusters

On my holiday table I Iike to have an assortment of goodies besides the usual cookies, fudge, petit fours, mini cakes or tarts and such. These almonds (healthy fat) are coated in dark chocolate (that’s the good chocolate) and sprinkled with turbinado sugar and sea salt. The salt and sugar are optional but they sure … Continue reading

Halloween Bark with Milk and White Chocolate

I always like to make something new for Halloween and this year it is a simple bark. This is one of the easiest desserts you can make and it is also a great one to make with kids. You take care of melting the chocolate and they can decorate.

Chocolate Covered Oreo Easter Cookies

I recently saw these cookie molds  – what a great idea when you love chocolate and Oreo cookies.  Had to make something in honor of the 100th anniversary (March 6th) of this popular cookie.  That same year the South Pole was discovered and the sinking of the Titanic (the builders were very distant relatives). You can find … Continue reading

Chocolate Cake With Ganache Frosting

This is a dense, very chocolatey cake where a little goes a long way.  The ganache frosting is very rich and a small slice will be enough.  Once in awhile I enjoy making a cake from scratch, it is extra work but worth it.
